Job Description

Kearney & Company is seeking an experienced leader to join our team! The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the FMFO System Support Team and interact with internal support team, Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS) Program Management Office (PMO), and Interface Trading Partners in support of the sustainment of DEAMS; consisting of Oracle ERP technology, primarily financial modules. The successful candidate must have solid leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate technical staff. The successful candidate should have strong problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated track record of successfully overcoming complex technical challenges. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of Oracle Subject Matter Experts, providing guidance, support, and career development opportunities.
  • Oversee the day-to-day technical operations of Oracle databases and ensure smooth, high-performance operations; to include weekend software/server patching events and Fiscal Year End operations.
  • Coordinate complex technical issues, providing guidance and solutions for the team on intricate database challenges.
  • Assist the DEAMS PMO in coordinating with Global Combat Support System - Air Force (GCSS-AF) Enterprise Service Business (ESB) and Interface Trading Partners.
  • Continuously evaluate current processes and explore new ways to improve efficiency, accuracy, and speed through automation.
  • Ensure all processes are fully documented within Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or Desktop Guides (DTG).
  • Foster a collaborative, open-minded environment that encourages knowledge sharing, innovation, and high team morale.
  • Set clear team goals, deliverables, and performance metrics; conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; both verbal and written.
  • Experience in leading teams through change management processes, ensuring smooth adoption of new tools and methods.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. secret level security clearance (requires US Citizenship).
  • Must be willing and able to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with Oracle e-Business Suite (eBS) R12; and Oracle Cloud.
  • Experience with Advana, Envision, or other cloud software enclaves.
  • Knowledge of Air Force financial and logistics systems such as Air Force Equipment Management System (AFEMS), Automated Funds Management (AFM), Civilian Pay Accounting Interface System (CPAIS), Central Procurement Accounting System (CPAS), Commanders' Resource Integration System (CRIS), Defense Civilian Payroll System (DCPS), Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS), General Accounting and Finance System Base Level (GAFS-BL), General Accounting and Finance System Re-Engineered (GAFS-R), Integrated Accounts Payable System (IAPS), Job Order Cost Accounting System II (JOCAS II), Standard Base Supply System (SBSS), Standard Materiel Accounting System (SMAS), and Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF)
  • Detailed familiarity with AF Lines of Accounting and financial data elements.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, and other automation tools.
  • Deep understanding of database management principles and techniques (including Oracle, SQL, and related technologies).

The expected salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $140,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
