Job Summary:
The Senior Regional Manager, Mortgage Sales is responsible for organizing and directing strategic initiatives, sales development, leadership, and management of mortgage production across all regions. This role manages all three channels of the mortgage division, including retail, TPO, and mortgage direct and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction, business plans, and oversight to maximize regional retail production while ensuring efficient and accurate operations.

  • Develop and execute regional market strategies to increase retail volume, market share, and profitability.

  • Coach team members on identifying new business opportunities to support consistent performance.

  • Collaborate with Producing Managers to evaluate retail performance within assigned markets.

  • Lead Producing Managers in management activities, including recruitment and hiring of qualified individuals.

  • Communicate and implement company policies and procedures across the region.

  • Oversee management of regional P&L and financial performance.

  • Promote and represent the Hancock Whitney brand in assigned geography, supporting initiatives that enhance brand reputation.

  • Participate in regulatory reviews, audit examinations, and resolution of regulatory issues as necessary.

  • Perform other responsibilities as requested by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Interview, hire, and train employees.

  • Plan, assign, and direct work.

  • Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees.

  • Address complaints and resolve problems in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.

Minimum Required Education, Experience & Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required.

  • Minimum 10 years of mortgage production experience, with at least 7 years in a supervisory or management role, strongly preferred.

    • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

    • Non-mortgage regional sales leadership of at least 10 years may also be considered.

  • Valid NMLS license required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting, P&L statements, and financial reporting.

  • Strong understanding of regional market dynamics, including competitors, recruiting opportunities, and business development prospects.

  • In-depth knowledge of the mortgage industry, regulatory environment, and financial markets.
