Your Role at Baxter

Are you looking to take part in a Procurement transformation at the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of hospital supplies? We are looking for a results driven Procurement leader with a passion for driving value, who wants to join our company mission to save and sustain lives.

The Director, Procurement Logistics will be responsible for leading our Global Supply Chain and Logistics Procurement Organization with a total spend in excess of $600M, reporting direct to the Global Senior Director- Indirect Procurement (ISC Operations). This position will be responsible for leading procurement excellence and driving best value through our global supply chain, with key focus on cost, quality, and service. This role will maintain a high level of visibility to company executives while providing valuable transformation experience. Additionally, the leader in this role will continuously and proactively investigate new suppliers/technologies as inputs into our value funnel, supporting our organizational goals while helping to improve patient outcomes.

Your team
  • Our global Procurement team provides leadership, strategic thinking and expertise to make a significant impact in our patients receiving the products they need to save and sustain their lives.

What you'll be doing
  • You will apply the strategic sourcing process, including the RFI/RFx process on a global basis. This includes owning the supplier selection process and ensures supplier selections are Baxter's selection criteria.

  • You will negotiate and implement statement of work (SOW) and supply agreements by aligning with cross-functional teams for long term success.

  • You will lead continuous improvement in cost, quality and service delivery/execution and deliver savings annually to the P&L.

  • You will collaborate and communicate across key global supply chain functions, including manufacturing, planning, distribution, logistics, sourcing, and/or procurement.

  • You will be motivated by a fast-paced start-up environment that requires agility and flexibility.

  • You are willing to learn, roll-up up your sleeves and set an example for the team as a "leader and doer."

What you'll bring
  • Bachelor Degree required, strong preference for Masters Degree.

  • 10+ years of medical industry-related experience including five+years in a sourcing leadership role.

  • Have led a global team within a matrixed environment.

  • Can communicate, influence, and negotiate across the network (commercial, R&D, manufacturing and logistics) and build credibility.

  • Travel Required (Domestic & International) - up to 10%

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $176,000 - $242,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive.
