Exciting Opportunity: Associate Director, Business Development

The Associate Director, Business Development ("BD"), is responsible for the strategy and implementation of new business opportunities, including new geography, new client relationships, and inorganic growth opportunities. The Associate Director will utilize market research and ongoing monitoring of external environment and industry analysis to understand the competitive landscape and to identify opportunities for growth through exploration and analysis of company profiles and products in great depth.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Alignment & Market Insight
    Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, R&D, and Commercial teams to gather customer and market feedback, identify trends and commercial opportunities, and align cross-functional stakeholders on Jubilant Radiopharma's strategic direction-defining "Where to Play," "How to Win," and "What Capabilities are Needed."
  • Growth & Partnership Development
    Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities including in-licensing, out-licensing, commercial partnerships (for the new geographies), M&A, theragnostic collaborations for our upcoming CDMO business, and external alliances for co-development or supply chain enhancement
  • Opportunity Evaluation & Execution
    Evaluate and execute business development initiatives by conducting detailed profitability and valuation analyses (e.g., rNPV, ROI, payback), developing compelling business cases, securing internal support and funding, and driving initiatives that expand both geographic reach and product portfolio.
  • Executive Communication & Reporting
    Prepare and deliver comprehensive presentations with analytical data, metrics, charts, budgeting, and forecasts for senior leadership, including the CEO and board of directors.
  • Contracting & Negotiation
    Guide and participate in the development and negotiation of contracts to support strategic initiatives and partnerships.
  • Industry Engagement & Intelligence
    Build and maintain a strong business network across the radiopharmaceutical industry and stay current on relevant developments, regulatory guidelines, and market dynamics affecting Jubilant's product lines (current and future) and service offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 8-10 years in business development, licensing, or M&A within the pharmaceutical or radiopharmaceutical industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities.
    • Proven expertise in valuation modeling (e.g., rNPV, ROI, payback).
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to build business cases and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of nuclear medicine trends, regulatory guidelines, and market dynamics.
  • Network: Established industry relationships and ability to cultivate strategic partnerships.
