Engineer, Computer IV Location: Virginia Beach, VA Clearance: TS/SCI Overview Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is seeking an experienced Computer Engineer IVfor a potential opportunity to provide critical engineering and technical support for research, hardware, software design, and system development in support of NIWC Atlantic. This key position is required for orals at NIWC Atlantic - Charleston, SC, and plays a pivotal role in ensuring system performance, reliability, and compliance with government requirements. Minimum Experience & Education Education & Experience: Master's Degree + 10 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's Degree + 14 years of relevant experience. Background must include expertise in computer design, software development, or computer networks. Key Responsibilities Provide engineering and technical support services for system research, hardware and software design, and development activities. Conduct engineering analyses using modeling and simulation of systems and operational environments, which may include but are not limited to: Static Analysis Dynamic Analysis Thermal Analysis Fluid Flow Analysis Perform software engineering tasks, including: Design, development, and documentation of software solutions to meet specific government requirements. Ensure all software and computer engineering efforts are performed by certified personnel. Ideal Candidate Profile The successful candidate will demonstrate: Proven ability to integrate hardware and software components into complex systems. Strong analytical skills and experience applying engineering methodologies to assess and improve system performance. Familiarity with government processes and standards for software and hardware certification.
