Seasonal (Seasonal) JOB TITLE: Dispatcher DIVISION: Mountain Operations REPORTS TO: Dispatch & Operations Business Manager LOCATION: Solitude Mountain Resort CLASSIFICATION: Part-Time / Seasonal / Hourly PAY: $21/hr POSITION: Mountain Operations Dispatcher is responsible for efficiently facilitating the resort's routine and emergency communication systems. This highly responsible position maintains clear and accurate information exchange between departments across the resort. SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: Effective communication skills, oral & written; Able to converse clearly with guests and employees; handle all dispatch communications efficiently Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions Punctual, able to arrive between 6:00-7:00am, regardless of weather or road conditions Work well in both a team environment and individually Able to follow all policies and procedures Able to quickly respond and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously Able to maintain a calm and controlled demeanor during emergency situations Excellent computer and organizational skills are essential Able to work longer hours and/or additional days if requested Proficient in Microsoft word, Outlook, Teams Trainable on operations software systems JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide top quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner. Answer all telephone and radio calls in Dispatch; Provide timely and accurate communications and record keeping required for the resort operations team Monitor ski lift and trail openings and closings and update computer systems that report lift, trail and grooming status throughout the day Perform continuous monitoring of a radio channel system and dispatch phone line; disseminate information to other departments via email, radio and phone Respond to all radio and phone calls regarding injuries, lift issues and emergencies. Determine the nature and location of the emergency, determine priorities, and dispatch patrol and/or lift maintenance. Prepare and maintain accurate records and logs of all radio transmissions, telephone calls and other records Assist Dispatch Manager and other operations managers with paperwork and company compliance Perks of Working Here: Work & Play in the Mountains: Embrace the stunning Wasatch Mountains.
