Overview:

Advisors Excel is growing - and we're looking for a Senior Investment Analyst to join our Advisor Support Network team. This is a unique opportunity to combine deep financial analysis with strategic impact, helping us evaluate, support, and grow a portfolio of high-performing advisor firms.

You'll be at the center of our expansion efforts: conducting due diligence, building financial models, and monitoring the performance of firms after investment or partnership. The position offers a dynamic opportunity to interact directly with private equity investors, company leadership, and advisor partners, shaping a strategic growth area for Advisors Excel.

In this role, you won't just crunch numbers; you'll help shape strategy, influence high-level decisions, and see the impact of your work across a thriving network of firms.

What you'll do:

Transaction Support & Due Diligence

  • Develop sophisticated financial models to inform investment decisions and firm valuations.
  • Analyze target advisor firms' financial statements, operations, and growth drivers to evaluate performance and opportunities.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence, assessing earnings quality, revenue mix, cash flow stability, and operational risks.
  • Assist in structuring deal terms and preparing documentation throughout the transaction process.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare investment committee materials, including executive summaries, deal outlines, and scenario analyses for review by senior leaders.
  • Track, monitor, and report on the performance of partner and portfolio companies, generating variance analyses and actionable recommendations.
  • Create presentations, quarterly business updates, and strategic reports for both internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Consolidate, standardize, and enhance reporting by aggregating financial data from multiple advisor offices and accounting platforms.

Portfolio Monitoring & Insights

  • Oversee post-transaction monitoring of advisor firm performance, identifying key financial and operational metrics for ongoing assessment.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards for real-time business performance insights and reporting.
  • Work directly with leadership to identify improvement opportunities and drive long-term value creation in partner firms.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner closely with Advisors Excel Finance, private equity teams, and advisor firm leadership to ensure reporting accuracy and clarity.
  • Serve as a financial liaison, building productive relationships with advisors, their teams, and other key stakeholders.
  • Foster constructive collaboration and cultivate strong advisor partnerships through clear communication and financial expertise.

Strategic Contributions

  • Conduct industry benchmarking, market analysis, and business valuation work to support strategic investment decisions.
  • Design and implement scalable systems and processes that enhance reporting and information flow as our network expands.
  • Provide creative, data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to continually strengthen investment analytics and portfolio management.

Experience you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 4-7 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and consolidating complex financial data into actionable insights
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with financial databases and reporting systems a plus
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to executives, advisors, and board members

Bonus Points:

  • Advanced certifications such as CFA, CPA, or Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV)
  • Familiarity with portfolio monitoring tools or financial reporting software

What you'll get:

  • Amazing benefits including medical, dental, vision and 401k (with matching options)
  • Generous PTO package from your start date
  • Access to an on-site cafe, gym and primary care
  • Continuous personal and professional development opportunities
  • Recognition for hard work & exemplary performance
  • Employee sponsored events...and more!
