Summary:

The Project Manager II role entails independently managing medium-to-large-scale construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This position involves leading project teams, client relationship management, budget and schedule control, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Reporting to a Project Manager III or a Program Manager, the Project Manager II plays a pivotal role in project success.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents, scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Act as the main contact for clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, change orders, and billing.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using project management software.
  • Supervise project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, drawings, meeting minutes, and closeout materials.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely, safe, and quality work execution.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor performance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and guide junior project team members.
  • Participate in project proposals, estimates, and bid processes.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in construction project management.
  • Experience managing multiple projects in the $2M-$5M range.
  • Proficiency in construction project management software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to understand complex construction documents and contracts.
  • OSHA 30 and EM385-1-1 Certification required.
  • PMP or CCM certification preferred.
