DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will oversee Sign Technicians in the safe operation of machinery and equipment essential for designing and producing signs for distribution across the agency. Your responsibilities will include planning, assigning, and assessing work, as well as training staff on the proper use of sign manufacturing equipment. You will also be tasked with estimating and ordering necessary materials while ensuring both the safety and optimal functioning of all machinery. Additionally, you will manage the sign manufacturing process at the Sign Shop, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of relevant policies and procedures. This role requires your physical presence during the initial setup each morning, along with being available throughout the day to address questions, assist employees, and supervise the shutdown and cleanup processes. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Sign Technician 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Three years of experience in the manufacture of signs which includes one year of technical lead work experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of technical lead work experience in the manufacture of signs.
