This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages the logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly.
The Operator I, Warehouse & Distribution Operations (Para-Professional & Support Path), is primarily responsible for handling tasks in warehouses and distribution centers, optimizing storage and material flows, and managing inventory and shipments. You will operate equipment, requiring technical skills and adherence to procedures at the ASPEX Facility in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, a typical day will include:
- Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data.
- Efficiently operates forklift and other associated warehouse equipment to produce finished goods in accordance with applicable standards.
- Performs all tasks required to support the warehouse dock (process work orders, receive raw materials, or work with the materials control technicians on the docks to ensure we are getting what is required to make sure they succeed in their tasks).
- Ensures all work areas in each respective area is current, organized, and compliant with all processes.If found that a work area is not up to standard, they will work with that individual to make sure the task is completed.
- Trains new employees coming in, as part of their NEO process (NEO Buddy). Coordinates daily tasks and logistics on the warehouse floor (calling for trailers, coordinating traffic).
- Performs Good Documentation Practices when filling out all paperwork (Right First Time standard).
- Receives incoming materials and prepares materials for shipment.
- Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials; prepares records of materials shipped and bills of lading; routes materials to destinations.
- Utilize Warehouse Management System to manage inventory movement.
- All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.
- Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- Work hours: Nights - 4 days on, 4 days off, from 6:00pm - 6:30am CST
