The Spectrum Office at Georgia State University is looking to recruit an experienced candidate for the Assistant Director, Spectrum position. This position performs professional level duties to support the Spectrum Office. The Spectrum Office is responsible for the support and maintenance of three administrative software applications, PeopleSoft Financials, ONEUSG Connect and Panther Mart (SciQuest e-procurement system).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Expert within the Spectrum team for ensuring monthly reconciling reports, fiscal year end reports and budget reports are developed, updated and maintained for the University.
  • Maintains, manages and ensures integrations with external systems such as OneUSG HCM and PantherMart e-procurement system.
  • Manages enhancements and updates to the systems supported by the spectrum team such as Spectrum financial system and PantherMart e-procurement systems.
  • Mentors Sr. Business Analysts and Business Analysts in the unit.
  • Works with Shared Services Center, ITS Athens and other external agencies as needed.
  • Assures that projects are completed in a timely manner and provides daily oversight and coordination for assigned projects.
  • Be the expert on the technical and functional aspects of the systems that the Spectrum Office supports for Georgia State University such as the Financial System, payroll system (ADP) and SciQuest procurement system.
  • Resolve Help Desk tickets that may be assigned to the Spectrum Team. This includes working with the University departments throughout campus.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Technology and seven years of related experience, of which three years must be in a supervisory role.

    Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials and HCM or comparable products
  • Experience with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
  • Excellent development skills using Peoplesoft and Oracle tools.
  • Experience in modifying and developing reports and queries.
  • Experience with project management
  • Programming experience using Application Designer, SQR, SQL and/or similar tools.
  • Experience with end user support

Additional Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with leading a team of developers.
  • Experience in working with DBA and Technical infrastructure teams.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Security and Workflow
  • Strong problem solving and mentoring skills to develop quick yet sound solutions to resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments.
  • Expert with Microsoft Office suite including pivot tables, V-lookup, etc. ookup, etc.
