Helen DeVos Children's Hospital (HDVCH) offers an excellent full-time opportunity for an experienced child and adolescent psychiatry Advanced Practice Provider.

As an important member of the pediatric psychiatry multidisciplinary team, you would be diagnosing and treating medically complex children referred to the practice for their psychiatric care as well as children with neurodevelopmental and other mental health conditions who are otherwise physically healthy. The ideal candidate would be passionate about this patient population and have one or more years of experience practicing in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Maintains a collaborative practice agreement with specific physician(s). Exercises independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis and initiation of selected protocols/procedures. Collaborates closely with psychologists, psychotherapists, and physicians to provide high quality care. Provides educational opportunities for Pediatrics residents.

Qualifications

Physician Assistant

  • Required Master's Degree Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program

  • LIC-Physician Assistant - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

  • CRT-Physician Asst Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants Upon Hire required

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required

  • CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required

  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required

    Nurse Practitioner

    • Required Master's Degree Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master's, post-master's or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission

    • 3 years of relevant experience current, relevant clinical experience Required

    • Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role Required

    • Experience as a Nurse Practictioner Preferred

    • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

    • LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

    • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or

    • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required

    • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required
