Join our Sibley Nursing Team as a Clinical Coordinator - ED RN!



With its 318 beds, this non-profit, full-service acute care hospital offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic, skilled nursing inpatient services, and a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley's campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers; and the new patient tower with 200 spacious, private rooms.

The Clinical Coordinator - ED RN provides expert patient care and leadership, ensuring safe, efficient, and evidence-based practice. This role manages patient flow, supports staff development, leads process improvements, and serves as a clinical resource to uphold care standards. Working closely with interdisciplinary teams, the coordinator fosters engagement, professional growth, and operational excellence while guiding daily operations and acting as a liaison across departments. The job duties, schedule, and responsibilities may change from time to time based on SMH's needs/requirements or as directed by the Department Head or Administrator of this institution.

Unit/Schedule:



  • Emergency Department (22 ED beds, 6 Fast Track beds, 6 Hallway beds)
  • Full-time 36 hours/week, benefitted
  • 12-hour shifts



Minimum Education and Experience:



  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Registered Nurses
  • BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department and/or ICU.
  • Minimum of 1 year leadership or project coordination experience preferred.
  • Must maintain current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS and any certifications required to provide clinical care in ED/ICU.
  • National certification in emergency or critical care nursing or nursing leadership preferred.



Salary Range: Minimum 55.88/hour - Maximum 86.61/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
