Responsibilities

To learn more visit https://www.doctorshosplaredo.com JOB SUMMARY: Provides supply delivery and inventory management services to an assigned Periop, CVOR, Surgical unit, or department. Develops and maintains an inventory control system for all general supply items and selection of specialty carts. Establishes par levels and lead times and adjusts as necessary. Rotates stock inspecting for damage and expiration and coordinates through purchasing for return/replacement. Manages non-stock replenishment as needed. Reviews procedure schedules to ensure the correct products have been provided. Aligns with clinical leadership to identify product needs and occasionally manages physician requests. Assists with training new employees as assigned. Establishes and maintains department baseline analytics and reports out as required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Takes a daily inventory of assigned clinical department supplies, requisitions and restocks supplies to par levels. Monitors usage, utilizes usage reports, consults with department staff, recommends changes to inventory and par levels. Reports inconsistencies to supervisor. Recommends and implements corrections as necessary. Monitors backorder supply situations, communicate supply backorder situations to department staff and assist in obtaining substitute supplies. Works with department leadership to ensure specialty surgical products are available. Coordinates with local sales reps to resolve supply issues. Assists with training new employees on all processes and policies. Meets with Supervisor regularly to effectively communicate and resolve issues, set and prioritize goals and improve processes. Participates in cross-training activities within the department and hospital for own professional growth and in order to better assist the overall function of the hospital. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's degree required Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience in health care supply chain operations Technical Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of shipping, receiving, and overall understanding of supply chain processes and protocols. License/Certification: Professional Certification preferred Other: Projects a positive attitude, demonstrated teamwork competencies, and a strong work ethic. Able to maintain proper min/max levels for storeroom. Analytical skills necessary to develop and execute a variety of operational analyses.
