Qualifications

Position Summary

Assists the Director of Outpatient Services and clinical team with administrative and clinical support services

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical and administrative support services to the Clinical team
  • May provide patient transportation to/from treatment for those living in Sober Living
  • Orients patient to treatment program and facility, rules, grievance procedures.
  • Assist patient with initial assessment appointments.
  • Able to conduct and interpret information about the patient's history of dependence/disorder recoginzing physical and behavior symptoms and progression of dependency/disorder.
  • Demonstrates particular effectiveness in assessing the biopsychosocial condition and needs of the patients and the effects of chemical dependncy and psychiatric disorders upon these individuals.
  • Helps the patient complete the PHQ-9, GAD-7 and brief cravings scale screenings within 2 days of admission, the fifth week of treatment prior to discharge.
  • Conducts individual and group education sessions with patients. Groups are held as scheduled and reflect adequate prepartion.
  • Responsible for updating and collaborating with Therapists
  • Participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings
  • Works collaboratively with families and referents as needed
  • Provides quality assurance support services regarding documentation and chart audits
  • Utilizes agency endorsed patient-centered therapeutic interventions and rapport-building practices, including motivational interviewing techniques, to non-confrontationally enhance consumer insight regarding diagnostic and usage patterns.
  • Provides appropriate chart documentation

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred required
  • CAC Strongly preferred required, or willingness to obtain.
  • Combination of education and work experience may be considered to fulfill requirement.
