Corporate Security Intelligence Analyst
The Corporate Security Intelligence Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, interpreting and disseminating data from various sources to identify potential threats and risks to Comerica's assets, employees, and reputation, then providing actionable intelligence to Enterprise Security leadership to proactively mitigate those risks and inform decision-making.
The Corporate Security Intelligence Analyst is responsible for monitoring security systems, researching emerging threats, conducting threat assessments, and producing reports on potential vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies. The incumbent will monitor internal and external data sources like network logs, security systems, open-source intelligence and threat feeds to identify suspicious activity and potential threats.
Position Responsibilities:
Incident Response Support


  • Assist in investigations of security incidents by analyzing data and providing insights to identify root causes and potential mitigation strategies.
  • Providing actionable intelligence to Enterprise Security operations teams during incidents to facilitate rapid response and containment.
  • Evaluate the severity and likelihood of potential threats, analyzing vulnerabilities, and determining the potential impact on the organization.
  • Evaluate the likelihood and potential impact of identified threats, considering factors like geopolitical events, industry trends, and competitor activities.


Data Collection, Analysis and Reporting


  • Monitor and analyze security information from diverse sources like internal systems logs, CCTV footage, access control systems, open-source intelligence, and incident reports to identify patterns and trends.
  • Actively collecting data from open-source intelligence, internal systems, industry reports, and external threat intelligence feeds to identify emerging threats and trends.
  • Proactively identify potential vulnerabilities within the company's security posture and recommend necessary security controls to address them.
  • Create comprehensive reports summarizing threat intelligence findings, including key insights, mitigation strategies, and executive-level briefings.
  • Produce clear and concise reports detailing current threats, risk assessments, and recommended security measures for relevant stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Maintain and optimize security intelligence platforms and tools to effectively collect, analyze, and distribute threat data.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies based on threat intelligence analysis.


Communication and Collaboration


  • Collaborate with various departments within the organization to gather intelligence, share threat information, and ensure alignment on security priorities.
  • Work closely with various departments including IT, legal, risk management, and physical security to share threat intelligence and integrate security measures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies, procedures and countermeasures based on threat intelligence.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats and security trends within the industry to anticipate potential risks and adapt security strategies accordingly.
  • In partnership with the Director, Corporate Security, evaluate and manage relationships with external threat intelligence providers.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Position Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, Intelligence Analysis or related field or High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of progressive security related experience
  • 5 years of experience identifying potential threats, analyze risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies
  • 5 years of experience working with security technologies like SIEM, network monitoring tools, and access control systems
  • 4 years of experience in gathering information from various sources, including open-source intelligence, to build a comprehensive threat picture
  • 4 years of experience analyzing large volumes of data, identifying patters and drawing accurate conclusions
  • 4 years of experience effectively communicating complex security issues to both technical and non-technical audiences through clear and concise reports
  • 3 years of experience working in a Corporate Security environment
  • 2 years of experience working in a banking or financial institution (preferred)

Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday Salary: To Be Determined Based on Individual Experience
