Summary:

We are seeking a mission-driven and detail-oriented Cyberspace Exercise Planner to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Cyber Resilience Support Services under the JETS contract. This role is responsible for coordinating and integrating cyberspace planning and exercise activities across DoD and DLA environments. The planner will support the development and execution of cyber-related training objectives, scenarios, and assessments in alignment with the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) and DLA's cyber terrain.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist in the coordination and integration of cyberspace planning and exercise activities across DoD and DLA stakeholders.
  • Conduct in-depth mission analysis to identify specified, implied, and essential tasks supported by cyberspace operations.
  • Support exercise planning and execution in accordance with the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) from the J6 and cyberspace perspective.
  • Develop and coordinate exercise training objectives and build the Master Scenario Events List (MSEL).
  • Enter MSELs into applicable databases for CJCS, COCOM, DLA, and other stakeholder exercises.
  • Design, plan, and integrate cyber effects into exercises to meet command training objectives.
  • Observe and evaluate personnel readiness against exercise training objectives.
  • Provide post-exercise assessments, lessons learned, and assist in resolving follow-on action items.
  • Use Government-provided automated software tools to support communications, cyberspace, and exercise planning, in accordance with assigned suspense dates and staffing processes.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of the Joint Training System and cyberspace readiness frameworks.
  • Ability to analyze complex mission requirements and translate them into effective training plans.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies, risk management, and governance processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level III
  • Five (5) years relevant experience in IT/CS.
  • Experience with and understanding of DOD's Cyber Terrain.
  • Must have an active DOD Top Secret Clearance and be eligible for IT-I Critical Sensitive security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
