As an Advanced Package Development Engineer at Nokia, you will spearhead the development of cutting-edge technologies for next-generation products, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across multiple locations. Your role is pivotal in transforming innovative concepts into reality, as you design robust proof-of-concept test vehicles and conduct rigorous design verification testing. You'll thrive in our dynamic, fast-paced environment, where multitasking and creative problem-solving are essential. By leveraging your expertise in mechanical, thermal, or optical design and collaborating with suppliers, you'll contribute to the evolution of high-speed products exceeding 100Gb. Lead the development of key enabling technologies for next-generation products, focusing on innovation and performance. Design and engineer models and analyses for mechanical, thermal, or optical components. Create proof-of-concept test vehicles to validate design strategies and performance metrics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate solid models, drawings, and design flexibility matrices. Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEAs) to ensure reliability in parts and assemblies. Develop and implement design verification testing plans and engineering work orders for initial builds. Engage with suppliers to explore emerging technologies and establish specifications for sourcing components. Communicate effectively across diverse teams and locations to align project goals and progress. MS/PHD in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Optics 10+ years of experience in related fields Proficiency in Pro/Engineer / Creo or SolidWorks Expertise in mechanical, thermal, or optical design It would be nice if you also had: Experience with ANSYS or Zemax Knowledge of SQL and Agile methodologies Strong background in statistical analysis Excellent written and verbal communication skills Come create the technology that helps the world act together Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.
