Now, we're entering a new phase of growth and are looking for a Quality Assurance Inspection Manager to join our team, contributing to the PDW Quality Assurance program. The ideal candidate will thrive working in an innovative and fast-paced work environment, have excellent critical thinking skills, and will play a pivotal role in assuring product conformity to PDW's end users.

What You'll Do


  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Quality Assurance Inspection Team and all company related inspection activities, setting a positive example, and fostering a collaborative environment with the inspection team and other company departments, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • Will perform inspections in relevant processes as required, to include Receiving Inspection, Sub-Assembly Inspection, Final Inspection and Final Release Verifications.
  • Develop, implement, and manage Quality Control Plans and testing strategies for the organization's products and development processes, ensuring internal and external requirements and regulations are being met.
  • Will manage and ensure that outsourced machined metal and plastic components are inspected to robust PDW methodologies and conform to purchase order and engineering requirements. This focus includes CMM and mechanical inspection of component level parts.
  • Strong understanding of Analyzing inspection and test data metrics to identify trends, problems, and areas for improvement, and develop solutions and corrective actions where needed.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and records of inspection results, audit findings, and metrics and other quality-related data.
  • Provide training and development to Quality Assurance personnel on quality standards, procedures and inspection techniques, to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Engineering, Production Operations, and Supply Chain, to ensure effective quality control measures are enacted and maintained.
  • Preparing reports on quality performance, communicating findings to stakeholders, and collaborating with other departments, providing support where needed.


Requirements


  • Strong leadership and time management skills, with excellent written and verbal communication for effectively communicating with team members, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Thorough understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies, standards, processes and company procedures is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of inspection of outsourced machined components, mechanical inspection, precision measuring instruments, tools, quality control principles, inspection techniques, and relevant industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Knowledge of ISO and AS9100 standards.
  • Strong organizational skills are required to manage multiple projects, track progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Creation of management level reporting documents and presentations.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools and Microsoft Office Suite.


Physical Requirements


  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly, with occasional heavier lifting
  • Employee must be able to stand, walk, and bend for long periods, as well as push and pull
  • Manual dexterity is necessary for performing assembly operations


Work Environment


  • Operates primarily in a professional, climate-controlled office, warehouse, manufacturing and shipping environment. At times, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety gloves, goggles, and hearing protection may be required.
  • Employee will also work outdoors as applicable, where they may be exposed to the elements, including heat, rain, and cold.
  • Standard hours are Monday through Friday 7:00AM to 3:30PM, with occasional overtime as operational needs may require.
  • Fast paced environment with moving, packing, and staging shipments


ITAR Requirement

In compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), candidates must be U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders), or individuals granted asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
