The Supervisor, Business Specialist is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring high performance across quality metrics, client SLAs, and customer deliverables. Key duties include employee scheduling, training, customer service, and conflict resolution. The role drives continuous improvement through software testing support, layout planning, root cause analysis, recommendations, utilization forecasting, and benchmarking. Security duties cover login access and compliance enforcement. Administrative responsibilities include operational efficiency, employee and lead performance management, hiring, terminations, and temp staffing. The role also ensures timely and accurate reporting of incidents, accidents, quality metrics, and operational procedures.

What You'll Do

  • Provide day-to-day oversight of operations within the facility, ensuring efficient workflow and service delivery in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead, coach, train, and mentor team members to promote performance, accountability, and professional growth in alignment with business objectives.
  • Exercise sound judgment and make data-informed business decisions to optimize workflow efficiency, maximize team productivity, and minimize operational downtime.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedural controls and performance metrics to monitor service levels and drive continuous operational efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Dealertrack and the temporary staffing agency to coordinate onboarding, performance, and compliance of temporary personnel.
  • Track and report employee attendance, reviewing and reconciling records for both internal staff and temporary team members.
  • Administer scheduling, approve paid time off (PTO), and ensure accurate payroll submissions for all team members.
  • Align staffing levels and resource allocation with daily operational demands, ensuring effective task distribution and workload coverage.
  • Conduct interviews and manage the full-cycle hiring process for open roles, in coordination with HR and leadership.
  • Deliver regular performance feedback, administer corrective actions when necessary, and uphold compliance with Cox Automotive policies and standards.
  • Ensure full adherence to all corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with peer supervisors and leadership to manage shared resources, improve workflows, and ensure coverage during absences.
  • Actively promote a culture of safety by modeling and enforcing health and safety protocols in partnership with Safety Excellence leadership.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned to support departmental and organizational success.

Who You Are

Minimum

  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 3 years' experience in a related field; a master's degree and 1 year of experience; or a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a personable and professional demeanor
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain strong support for both customers and team members
  • Proven ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching, motivating, and collaborating with teams
  • Ability to mentor and develop staff for advancement within the organization
  • Effective communication with customers and colleagues both in person and over the phone
  • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexible schedule availability, including willingness to work holidays, be on call, and travel as needed

Preferred

  • Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a high-volume production and customer service environment. Knowledge of scanning, validation, and archiving of documents preferred.


USD 49,200.00 - 73,800.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $49,200.00 - $73,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
