Position Overview:

Organizational Change Management (OCM) Lead will be aligned to AI key priority projects that have significant enterprise end user impact and work with IT program/project teams to both plan and execute a specific set of OCM activities. Scope includes but not limited to driving strong partnerships and working alongside program/capability/project owners, Enterprise Communications team, and other teams to develop the high-level change strategy and execute those deliverables. These may include but are not limited to:



  • Stakeholder analysis
  • Change plan
  • Communication strategy, direction and plan, or recommendations when Enterprise Communications owns the project communications (based on the end user of the technology)
  • End user materials such as SharePoint site build, best practice documentation, job aids, etc.
  • Training recommendation for the program/capability team to drive continued acceptance and adoption



This role is accountable to execute all deliverables defined under their ownership and deliver on the defined strategy.

General Summary:

Plan, develop, and implement strategic organizational change management, including stakeholder engagement and internal communications, to support and promote adoption technology rollouts and necessary actions with significant internal enterprise end-user (employee and contractor) impact. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for the delivery of Organizational Change Management to increase the understanding and adoption of key technology capabilities and platforms with users across UHG
  • Analyze and drive stakeholder or end-user needs, implement strategic communications, and change tactics
  • Gathers input and defines solutions for complex change management and communication needs, both internal and external to the IT organization
  • Design, develop and deliver successful change plans, tactics, and communication mechanisms, messages, channels, systems, materials and tools to address audience needs and expected impacts
  • Builds business relationships with key Business and Project/Program stakeholders
  • Defines change management metrics and reporting to assess the impact of change management activities

Required Qualifications:



  • Prosci-certified and/or 3+ years OCM experience at large, complex organization
  • 6+ years of experience in organizational change management and communication methodology, with proven results (i.e. PROSCI)
  • 4+ years of experience writing change plans, writing change communications, and planning OCM measurement, and reporting
  • 3+ years of experience with technology systems with an emphasis on enterprise software upgrades and applications changes, and end-user technology change roll outs
  • 3+ years of experience in project management
  • 2+ years of experience leading Organizational Change Management initiatives in complex environments and delivering significant business results



Preferred Qualifications:



  • 6+ years of experience leading medium to large organizational change management initiatives with a focus on communications strategy and execution at a large, complex organization
  • Employee/Customer-Experience-focused leader with exposure to UX principles and best practices
  • Proven ability to translate business and technical changes into storytelling that resonates with a variety of audiences that have no knowledge of technical language. Ability to understand and explain end-audience needs and requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Demonstrated influence management skills, decision making abilities, and problem resolution skills
  • Demonstrated balance of strategic and detailed tactical thought processes
  • Solid critical thinking skills
  • Proven project management experience across a broad or complex organization
  • Proven record of successfully managing and delivering significant business changes, with particular knowledge of change practices
  • Experience working globally with diverse cultural and language groups, and across business functions
  • Proven ability to work with all levels of an organization, with excellent downward, lateral and upward written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in problem analysis and solution recommendation capabilities
  • Very solid presentation, written, and oral communication skills
  • Solid interpersonal and influence management skills with the ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate
  • Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Can easily collaborate and build relationships
  • Team player with the ability to operate independently (proactive, self-starter)
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders; creates win-wins
  • Proven record of successfully managing and delivering significant business changes, with deep knowledge of change practices and measurement techniques
  • Experience in internal communications
  • Accountable & action oriented
  • Solid sense of initiative; ability to determine root causes and address issues head on
  • Experience creating key messages and presentations for a variety of audiences; ability to adjust messaging

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits re subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
