Overview
As a Managing Director in Sponsor Finance-M, you will lead the origination, structuring, and execution of complex leveraged finance transactions for private equity-sponsored companies. You will be responsible for driving business growth, managing key client relationships, and providing strategic leadership to the sponsor finance team. The role ensures proper controls are in place, manages and addresses emerging risks across the business unit, and maintains alignment with corporate strategy, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Transaction Origination and Execution (40% of time) * Lead the origination and execution of large, complex leveraged finance transactions * Oversee deal teams throughout the transaction lifecycle, from origination to closing * Participate in credit committees and present investment recommendations to senior management Client Relationship Management and Business Development (20% of time) * Develop and maintain strategic relationships with private equity sponsors and other key clients * Provide thought leadership and market insights to clients and internal stakeholders * Contribute to the development and implementation of the group's business strategy Portfolio Management [10% of time ] * Manage a portfolio of borrowing clients, including performance monitoring and addressing loan amendments and modifications * Ensure delivery of core commercial banking products * Ensure overall general management of respective client portfolio. Team Ledership and Stakeholder Collaboration (20% of time)- Provide strategic leadership to the sponsor finance team, Mentor nd develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence nd innovation, Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions * Contribute to the development of innovative financial products and strategies Cross-functional Collaboration and Innovation (10% of time) * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions * Contribute to the development of innovative financial products and strategies. Maintain deep knowledge of the sponsor finance sector and leveraged finance products * Contribute strategic insights to the group's business development and growth initiatives * Represent the organization in industry events and forums Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Leveraged or Sponsor Finance Lending and Portolio Management Experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience
The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $276,300 - $338000 annually.
