JOB SUMMARY |
- Perform various tasks related to payroll, job costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
|
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS |
- Experience with Spectrum Viewpoint or other construction accounting software.
- One year experience in construction accounting.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES |
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely manner.
- Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
- Positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with internal and external customers.
- Good punctuation, spelling, and grammar skills are essential.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES |

- Perform various duties including but not limited to, payroll, job costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting.
- Assist in reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare entries and related work papers.
- Assist with accounting closing processes.
- Perform daily reviews of accounts payable entries.
- Assist with performing full cycle payroll.
- Compare vendor/subcontractor invoices to purchase orders or contracts to verify quantities, price, payment terms, freight charges, extensions, etc.
- Work vendor statements, handle sales tax issues.
- Complete vendor credit applications.
- Enter and verify purchase orders provided by operations.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing documents and processes in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Prepare various cost/statistical reports for management.
- Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
