The Enterprise Director of Hospice Services is a key operational leader responsible for driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and clinical quality across Hospice services at WVU Medicine. This position champions compassionate, patient-centered care, regulatory compliance, and financial stewardship, while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. The Enterprise Director actively supports employee engagement, retention, and leadership development, ensuring the growth and success of both staff and services. Through visionary leadership and strategic alignment, the Enterprise Director ensures Hospice services deliver exceptional outcomes and support the organization's mission of improving the health of the communities we serve.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Associates degree in Nursing with 10 years of nursing experience and 5 years of clinical supervisory experience. OR 2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing with 7 years of nursing experience and 5 years of clinical supervisory experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Master's degree in a clinical or healthcare-related field. 2. Experience leading Hospice operations in a large, integrated healthcare system. 3. Experience in Hospice and/or Home Health. 4. Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory oversight including CMS standards and accreditation requirements. Serve as a key member of WVU Medicine's leadership team, providing strategic direction on Hospice operations and collaborating with executive leaders on system-wide initiatives. 2. Drive operational excellence by standardizing practices, enhancing patient care delivery, and improving integration of Hospice services across the WVU Health System. 3. Oversee efficient and effective operations of Hospice services, ensuring financial sustainability, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance. 4. Lead multi-disciplinary teams to implement patient-centered care models, ensuring comprehensive assessment and care planning to meet individual patient and family needs. 5. Monitor and drive improvements in patient satisfaction scores, quality metrics, and operational performance indicators. 6. Foster a culture of accountability by establishing performance goals and regularly reviewing team progress toward operational and clinical objectives. 7. Support development and utilization of electronic health records, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient workflows. 8. Oversee financial management including budget development, financial performance analysis, and resource allocation to ensure responsible fiscal stewardship. 9. Mentor, coach, and develop Hospice leadership teams, fostering professional growth and succession planning. 10. Collaborate with hospital, post-acute, and community partners to strengthen care transitions and enhance system-wide care coordination. 11. Lead business development initiatives to expand service capabilities, increase census growth, and build strong community relationships. 12. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation requirements, and internal policies. 13. Develop and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives, driving excellence in patient care, safety, and operational efficiency. 14. Actively participate in legislative monitoring and advocacy efforts impacting Hospice services. 15. Serve as a role model for ethical behavior, professional conduct, and adherence to organizational values. 16. Lead employee engagement initiatives, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture that values team contributions and supports staff well-being. 17. Implement employee retention strategies focused on career development, recognition programs, and fostering a supportive work environment. 18. Champion leadership development programs, providing coaching and growth opportunities for leaders at all levels within the Hospice division.
