Reimagine What's Possible We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor. You will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance for our Baytown Area facilities, which include Baytown 2 ASU and ROG, Baytown 3 HYCO, Cedar Bayou Offgas, Mount Belvieu PDH Offgas, Conroe HPN, and HOUGOX. You will also be responsible for the SAFETY, performance, and development of our Maintenance Technicians. This position reports to the Baytown Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Supervisor will provide leadership, direction and coordinate the performance of the Baytown Area Maintenance Technicians. You will help establish a capable, continuously improving, and integrated high-quality maintenance work force with a focus on SAFETY, improving plant equipment integrity and reliability at the lowest sustainable cost to Air Products. Required Skills / Abilities:
10+ years of work experience in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment with maintenance, and/or operations is required. Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills are critical to the position. Strong leadership abilities coupled with excellent broad-based technical skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills and business acumen. Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills. Project management and experience creating and implementing structured work processes. Prior budgetary management and development experience. Safety performance, Safety Process compliance and process safety management. Strong SAP skills are required.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Operation Supervisors and Planner to understand daily maintenance priorities and issues. Drive the communication between operations supervision and maintenance front line supervision to help prioritize work and manpower across the region. Work with the operations and maintenance teams to drive the best solutions for the business from a maintenance SAFETY, reliability, and production impact perspective daily. Work with the maintenance and operations teams to prioritize, develop, schedule, and communicate all daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance activities in the region. Interface with these groups to ensure maintenance execution readiness from a maintenance planning/ resourcing and operations equipment readiness perspective. Continuously coach, develop and provide feedback to front line leadership to improve leadership skills, technical competencies, communication, and resource management. Support front line leadership in development, progression, coaching and providing feedback for improvement for maintenance technicians. Drive the maintenance team towards compliance with maintenance performance metrics such as PM compliance, maintenance cost of non-conformance, maintenance backlog, monthly spending vs budget and safety program participation. Ensure 100% compliance with regulatory and high priority maintenance activities. Interface with technical engineering support teams to drive towards innovative solutions to maintenance issues and provide capital project recommendations for end-of-life assets and design upgrades. Support the Turnaround Team in scope development and technical resource assignment for regional turnarounds. Support leadership audits and safety reviews for assigned turnarounds. Support and drive the changes from the North American Reliability Team within the Baytown Region. Drive technological changes to support the Predictive Maintenance Team efforts.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
10+ years of work experience in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment with maintenance, and/or operations is required. Prior supervisory experience is preferred but is not required. A high school diploma or GED is required. A technical trade school degree in instrumentation, mechanical, electrical, or Military technical training is preferred but is not required.
