Segra is searching for a dynamic and experienced IT Support Engineer II, Hardware and Inventory to work in our Kansas City, MO office.
Role Overview:
- Become part of the IT Hardware and Inventory team within the IT Support and Operations team.
- Process and manage the hardware inventory for the Segra user base, within the scope of the IT Support and Operations team.
- Responsible for building computers (new or refurbished) to issue to internal users as well as provide said internal users with all other applicable IT equipment (cell phones, peripherals, AV equipment, etc.)
- Responsible for IT onboarding for new hires.
- Process and re-inventory the equipment for all users that off board or separate from the company.
- Responsible for maintaining the on-hand inventory.
- Responsible for inventory replenishment and/or submitting orders for approval to management for equipment purchasing as needed.
- Work with vendors/suppliers directly to vet user related equipment (computers, peripherals, cell phones, AV equipment, etc.) as directed by IT Leadership.
- Maintain concise documentation for inventory (across multiple systems as needed).
- Must consistently provide positive customer service and is expected to train users and fellow co-workers where applicable on company issued equipment as needed.
- Expected to take on-call shifts for after hours support as determined by the IT Leadership team.
- Travel to other offices or other work sites (potentially staying overnight) to provide support and install equipment for, but not limited to, new office builds, retrofitting older offices, and other work sites as needed.
- Have excellent customer service skills.
- Highly skilled in time management, inventory management, project management and should be able to adapt to a constantly shifting IT landscape.
- Take a proactive approach to problem solving with minimal business impact or direction from IT Leadership.
- Handle all other duties as requested by their manager.
Qualifications
- Education: 2-year degree or equivalent certifications/experience
- Certifications Recommended: A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of IT-related work experience. Must provide documentation.
- Key Competencies: Strong customer service and project management skills. Strong aptitude for Inventory management and processing. Ability to operate with minimal supervision. Assist with vendor relations and management to stay current with new makes and models of computers, peripherals, cell phones, AV systems, etc. Demonstrate a high level of understanding of the equipment and software standards in place by the IT Support and Operations team. Must be ready to, or willing to learn how to apply standard configurations or use various tools where needed for the following software and systems:
