Position Summary: The Wealth Advisor/Investment Officer serves as a trusted fiduciary and financial partner to high-net worth individuals, families, and institutions. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives on building relationships and developing new assets under management. This professional comprehensive investment and financial planning services to high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions, while actively sourcing new client opportunities through networking, referrals, and community engagement.

Essential Functions:



  • Proactively build and manage a portfolio of assets through prospecting, referrals, and community involvement.
  • Serve as the primary advisor for a portfolio of clients, delivering tailored investment strategies and holistic financial advice.
  • Create and implement goal-based financial plans for clientele utilizing the seven-step financial planning process.
  • Develop customized investment strategies based on clients' goals, risk tolerance, and time horizons.
  • Collaborate with in-house analysts and portfolio managers to implement and monitor investment portfolios.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and provide strategic recommendations to optimize performance and meet evolving client needs.
  • Provide guidance on tax-efficient investing, retirement planning, and estate strategies in coordination with legal and tax professionals.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication, education, and high-level client service.
  • Develop and cultivate internal and external referral sources to fulfill business development responsibilities.
  • Stay informed on market trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes impacting investment strategies and client outcomes.
  • Ensure that all investment activities are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and adhere to high ethical and professional standards of conduct.
  • Maintain working knowledge of securities held in discretionary accounts.
  • Refine and implement processes that improve efficiency, reduce the likelihood of errors, and improve the quality of UIMG's brand.
  • Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training: follow internal processes and controls as required.
  • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or related field.
  • Completion of Certified Financial Planner (CFP) program or successful progress toward obtaining the CFP designation.
  • 3-5 years' experience in investment advisory, financial planning or related field.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and client acquisition
  • Knowledge of financial markets, portfolio construction, and wealth planning strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, and relationship building skills.
  • Valid Nebraska driver's license.

Working Environment:

This role is eligible for hybrid work from home Wednesday opportunity under the work from home guidelines upon completion of onboarding.
