Senior Project Software Engineer (Temporary)

Job Summary
The Senior Project Software Engineer designs, develops, and delivers complex, high-impact, and mission-critical innovative software solutions in alignment with specific project goals and timelines, supporting key strategic initiatives across the organization.

Primary Objectives

• Develop, test, and maintain business applications built on Microsoft and other technologies.
• Collaborate with business unit management teams and project managers to deliver high-performance applications.
• Design, build, test, and deploy software application solutions aligned with project goals.
• Develop application documentation.
• Deliver on-time and on-budget solutions and adhere to high-quality development principles.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect, review, and analyze user needs and application software requirements for project delivery.
• Design, develop, modify, and test new and existing application programming.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Stakeholders, QA, DevOps, and UX teams to ensure alignment and effective delivery.
• Evaluate system constraints, cost estimates, and project timelines.
• Create complex technical diagrams, flowcharts, models, and documentation for use by users, analysts, engineers, and programmers.
• Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, reliability, and security.
• Review and monitor error logs and support ticket system for internal and external systems and fix problems as required.
• Partner with internal and external development teams to create, enhance and maintain high-quality applications.
• Interface with team members and project managers to deliver reliable, high- performance applications within an Agile framework.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar degree or equivalent combination of coursework and experience in directly-related field required

Licenses and Certifications

• Microsoft certification (MCSD, MCSE) preferred

Work Experience

• 8+ years of professional software development experience required

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated knowledge of large-scale applications software development lifecycle including requirement analysis, design, development, QA testing and production deployment.
• Expert knowledge and strong understanding of API integrations and cloud based architecture.
• Excellent analytical and software design skills.
• Ability to identify complex problems and use logic and reasoning to review related information to develop and evaluate options, conclusions, and implement solutions.
• Strong relational database experience including database design, advanced stored procedure development, and query optimization.
• Self-motivated and able to work under pressure with minimal direction.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in the utilization of a variety of development programming languages such as C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, JavaScript, SQL, SQLServer, and HTML/CSS.
• Ability to read, understand, and apply complex technical documentation and instructions.
• Great organizational and time-management skills, including an ability to estimate project completion times.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines.

Zone 1: Starting rate $175,000; up to $225,000 for highly qualified candidates
