As a member of the Sustaining Engineering team, you would join other smart, talented, and dedicated engineers and analysts who pride themselves in analyzing the most difficult challenges for the launch-test range while developing and delivering solutions to meet the needs of the US Space Force and their customers.

This position can be located at Patrick Space Force Base, FL or Vandenburg Space Force Base, CA.

This position is eligible for a (hybrid) telecommuting schedule after training completed.
Some tasks for this position must be performed on-site, but certain assignments may be performed remotely.

Essential Functions

  • Research and analysis of LTRS level 1/level 2 maintenance records
  • Research and analysis of LTRS sustaining and development engineering efforts
  • Study and characterization of LTRS negative sustainment trends
  • Research and analysis of obsolescence factors and mitigation for Range systems
  • Develop technical narrative for quarterly Worst Actor Report CDRL
  • Conduct special ad hoc analyses as tasked by USG
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Ability to demonstrate detailed research, analysis and documentation capabilities
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in technical writing

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years' (5) experience in engineering-related discipline.
  • Five years' (5) experience working on the LTRS in engineering and/or technical disciplines required

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Occasional travel may be required (less than 5%)
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required
