The Management Information Systems (MIS) Department at the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management, invites applications from qualified candidates for a visiting faculty position at the rank of assistant, associate, or full visiting professor. The selected applicant will be expected to teach MIS courses, conduct research leading to publications, and engage in department activities. This position will begin as early as August 18, 2025, and is available through May 24, 2026. With a strong national and international reputation as an agile, innovative, and research-oriented department, MIS is well poised to meet the challenge of serving the evolving research, learning, service, and teaching needs of a premier 21st century discipline. The MIS Department is one of the six academic departments in the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. Founded in 1974, the department was a pioneer in defining and advancing the field of Information Systems. Since its inception, the MIS Department has made outstanding contributions to the field, both by creating relevant and impactful research and by offering leading edge educational programs. The department has well-established and highly successful research centers that have generated over $200M in funded research projects since the 1980's. MIS faculty members have also been successful with technology transfer initiatives through successful commercialization of their research. The department has been ranked in the top 5 in the field of information systems for over 30 years. The MIS Department offers undergraduate, masters, and PhD programs in MIS. Over 5,000 students, including 250 PhD students, have graduated from these programs. US News & World Report currently ranks the undergraduate program #2 and the MS program #4 among all universities. The MIS Department is also home to multiple research centers including the Artificial Intelligence Lab, the Center for the Management of Information, and the INSITE Business Intelligence and Analytics Center. Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report |
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
