ISO/Quality Systems

Position: ISO/Quality Systems Team

Shift: M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Location: Onsite at 4A Treadesy Ave, Batavia, NY

Rate: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Essential Functions:

• Lead & Maintain ISO 9001 quality management system to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Track quality function metrics and assist with company-wide reporting.
• Prepare and lead annual Detail Management Review to evaluate the system performance, continuous improvements and the effectiveness/alignment with the strategic direction.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives; driving efforts to optimize processes, resolve quality issues and enhance product or service quality.
• Support and work with quality control team that ensures the highest level of product quality.
• Work with QA Team Lead to monitor and maintain calibration and preventative maintenance program to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Oversee internal and supplier quality audit programs, identifying corrective and preventative actions to enhance process reliability and product quality.
• Work closely with manufacturing to resolve quality challenges.
• Implement and sustain root cause and corrective action methodologies for internal and external nonconformities.
• Promote risk management that identifies, addresses and treats risk of processes and changes relate to the management system to acceptable levels.
• Maintain supplier quality performance, working closely with management and purchase/planning team to resolve issues and implement preventative measures.
• Maintain training programs to ensure team competency and documentation compliance.
• Assist in preparing capital investment plans; including evaluation of process and value stream maps, capacity studies, investment and saving estimation(s) and return on investment calculations.

Non-Essential Functions:

• Prepare special reports as needed.
• Assist in miscellaneous duties within Amada
• All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• Technical degree (or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment).
• Experience with the application of an ISO 9001 Quality Management System and auditing.
• Certified ISO 9001 lead auditor desired.
• Proven experience managing quality teams, including training, performance management and team development.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment desired.

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

• Advanced knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards.
• Comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools and framework.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent critical thinking and analysis skills.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Proficient in SyteLine recommended but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Detail oriented.
