Job Summary Serves as the primary site leader for all plant activities on the designated shift. Plans, organizes, leads and controls all areas of manufacturing within a designated manufacturing facility. Responsible to focus on the manufacturing operation performance measures to focus on operational key performance indicators (KPIs). The schedule for 2nd shift is: Monday through Thursday, 5:00pm to 3:30am. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING *Manages manufacturing plant equipment and associate capacity planning for assigned shift in order to determine and execute production plan schedule. In addition, manages the evaluation of ideal plant layout in order to enhance safety and efficiency. *Evaluates the hiring, performance management, training, and staffing of manufacturing plant positions for assigned shift. In addition, deploys new and updated work guidelines and instructions. *Manages the maintenance of the manufacturing plant's skills matrix, planning of needed skills requirements, and the deployment of the training rotation schedule. Ensures accuracy of records and compliance with procedures. *Ensures the execution of Environmental, Health and Safety procedures within the plant for the assigned shift. *Monitors Key Performance Indicators, Payroll Budget, Inventory Control and Safety statistics and collaborates with Plant Manager and appropriate department to implement corrective actions. *Participates in the company's Quality Management System (QMS) program and partners with other department leaders in developing recommended actions. *Supports the Product Launch and Manufacturing Support departments in the deployment of new items, technologies or processes. *Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and urgency while managing multiple priorities. WHAT YOU WILL NEED *Bachelor's Degree in a technical, analytical or related field; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. *5 years progressive manufacturing experience. *Supervisory or management experience. *Strong analytical and problem-solving skills *Experience demonstrating leadership and communication skills. *Ability to travel to other work locations as business need requires. Preferred Qualifications *APICS or similar Supply Chain Management Certification. *Project Management experience. *Experience developing and working with high performing teams. *Experience with Lean Manufacturing.
