Accounts Payable Specialist

Join a dynamic team with Staffmark as an Accounts Payable Specialist in Conway, AR, where your attention to detail and accounting skills will be essential in maintaining accurate financial records. You'll play a key role in ensuring timely payment processing, verifying invoices, and supporting the overall finance department's efficiency.

Pay: $18/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Review and verify cost accounting and accounts payable records for accuracy
• Prepare and process invoices, vouchers, and payment requests
• Post entries to ledgers and general journals and reconcile accounts payable and receivable records
• Use office automation systems to enter data, generate financial reports, and assist with audits
• Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities as needed
• Maintain organized financial documentation in compliance with company policies
• Support ad-hoc accounting projects and other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs occasionally
