Summary:

The main function of a quality technician is to inspect and test processed, machined, fabricated or assembled parts or products for defect, wear, and deviations from specifications.

Responsibilities:



  • Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
  • Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required.
  • Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specifications.
  • Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded.
  • Mark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.
  • Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
  • Analyze test data and make computations as necessary to determine test results.




Requirements:



  • English (Korean is plus)
  • Associate Degree or above in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering or Analytics
  • At least two years of experience with selection, maintenance and application of electronic and test equipment (spectrum analyzers, X-Ray, CT, Digital microscope) preferred.
  • Prior experience in the mobile industry preferred. Strong Project Management skills and the ability to prioritize in a complex working environment. Comprehensive use of Microsoft Office applications operating in a Windows XP or NT LAN/WAN environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
  • The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with multiples levels within the company and with external contacts including customers, authorized service agents, sales & equipment service representatives, etc.
  • Must be able to influence others in acceptance, approval and to provide technical clarification.
  • The ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, prepare spreadsheets, charts, graphs and tables of information and plan and prioritize multiple work assignments.




Preferred Skills:



  • Work is generally performed in an office, lab, warehouse, or user environment.
  • High level of visual acuity, numeric/character distinction and moderate color distinction for accurate test equipment operation, for information analysis and error recognition. High hand/finger dexterity with fine motor coordination skills to perform electronic component repair work.
  • Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids are representative and commonly associated with electronic component test, assembly and repair work including test equipment, testing devices, technician hand tools, cables, etc.; first aid kit is available and prescription safety glasses are required in certain test areas.
  • May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
