Electrical Technician

Staffmark is hiring an experienced Electrical Technician in Houston, TX! Join a growing team where you'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing automated manufacturing equipment. Pay: $30 - $32/hour

Shift: 2nd Shift

Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical/electronic systems, particularly automation equipment (PLC, NC, Robotics).
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance in line with established procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve faults using blueprints, manuals, technical specifications, and ladder diagrams.
• Work with equipment such as Mazak, Fanuc, Toshiba, and Mitsubishi controls.
• Handle machine voltages up to 480V and perform component-level board repairs.
• Replace components including servomotors, drives, sensors, switches, breakers, fuses, and more.
• Navigate machine systems to modify programs, parameters, or registers as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and machine diagnostics.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar electrical maintenance or technician role.
• Proficient in PLCs, AC/DC drives, operator interface terminals.
• Skilled in reading schematics and using Microsoft Office.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and adhering to Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
