Position Summary:

Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a Meal Coordinator to manage feeding operations at the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC). This position is responsible for planning menus, coordinating food preparation and service, and supporting the maintenance of food service facilities during incident activations.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate feeding requirements at the SEOC during incident activations
  • Plan and manage daily meal menus in collaboration with operational staff
  • Support cooking operations and supervise kitchen and food preparation staff as needed
  • Ensure proper food service procedures, sanitation, and health guidelines are followed
  • Oversee the serving process and general maintenance of food service areas
  • Liaise with vendors and partners to ensure consistent and reliable food supply
  • Maintain accurate records of meals served and inventory of food supplies
  • Assist in procurement of food service equipment and consumables as required


Basic Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of experience in food service coordination or meal planning roles
  • Experience managing food service operations in high-volume or emergency settings
  • Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to work long hours in a dynamic emergency response environment
  • Must be a U.S. citizen


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience coordinating meals in an emergency operations center or field deployment
  • ServSafe certification or similar food safety credentials
  • Familiarity with ESF-6 (Mass Care) coordination and feeding operations
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and meal tracking systems

  • Performance Location: On-site while on assignment (location TBD)

  • Travel Required: Yes - up to 100% while on assignment


Working Environment:

The work environment includes kitchens, dining areas, and other food service facilities, primarily at the SEOC or field locations. Extended work hours beyond 12 hours per day and emergency deployments may be required throughout the continental United States and its territories.
