The Opportunity:

As the Executive Chef, you will manage day-to-day meal planning and execution for events held at the EDC. You will be responsible for ordering all food products, scheduling staff to support in EDC activities, and leading culinary demonstrations to support training programs. You will also provide feedback on kitchen products to the Chicago RD team and HQ. In addition, you will develop menus, manage food costs, and ensure the commercial kitchen operates at a superior health code rating. You will also participate in external SKS equipment demos and support special VIP events at the EDC.



  • Collaborate with temp staffing agency to coordinate weekly staffing needs.
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings to review upcoming two-week events and special monthly programs.
  • Develop and coordinate menus that showcase Signature Kitchen appliances.
  • Organize, oversee, and present meals during interactive cooking sessions.
  • Maintain and enforce the highest standards in food preparation, service staff, and back kitchen management.
  • Demonstrate Sous Vide cooking techniques at both local and national appliance shows.
  • Plan and lead twice-weekly interactive dinners at the EDC.
  • Conduct Sous Vide cooking demonstrations as part of internal training modules.


Qualifications:



  • 10+ years of experience as an Executive Chef in top-tier, high end restaurants.
  • CIA certified and International Chef training and/or experience.
  • Deep knowledge of cooking and use of cooking equipment.
  • Proven experience of managing back kitchen and staff.
  • Strong familiarity with our Signature Kitchen appliances.
  • Understanding of media responses and public presentation of cooking demos.
  • Hands-on experience operating in a full commercial kitchen.

Recruiting Range
$100,013 - $146,685 USD
