About The Role:
This Entry-Level Construction Materials Engineering Technician role offers hands-on experience and growth in a fast-paced environment. You will conduct field and lab testing of construction materials, help ensure compliance with industry standards, and play a critical role in delivering successful construction projects.
Project and Document Review: Understand project specifications and document accurate test results for materials such as soil, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
Metafield Utilization: Use field and lab information systems to manage and report project data.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate tools and testing equipment to industry standards.
Inspection Monitoring: Perform field inspections and materials testing per IBC and other applicable standards.
Stakeholder Communication: Interact with contractors, clients, and team members to share progress and resolve project issues.

About You:
You have a High School diploma or GED.
You have 0-2 years of experience in construction materials testing or inspection (soil, concrete, asphalt, or masonry).
You have one or more active certifications (preferred but not required), such as:
You have strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
You possess basic math skills and understanding of measurements including weight, volume, and pressure.

You Are Willing and Able to:
Perform the physical demands of the position with the use of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment such as:
Working outdoors the majority of the time in varying weather conditions
Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially up to 12 hours a day
Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
Maneuvering field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow, on uneven ground around active construction sites
