Behavioral Health Therapist IV Inova Integrated Behavioral Health is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist IV to join the Behavioral Health team. This role will be a full-time day shift from Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The primary responsibility of this Behavioral Health Therapist IV position includes working directly with the Inova 360 Concierge Medicine Program. The role also includes conducting assessments, creating treatment plans and providing individual and group therapy. In addition, the ideal candidate would have clinical supervision training from the state to perform clinical supervision. Behavioral Health Therapist IV Job Responsibilities:
- Serves as clinical expert providing a range of therapeutic services, psychoeducational programming and behavioral interventions to assist the patient in achieving progress towards the goals and objectives of individualized treatment plans.
- Assesses and diagnoses mental health and/or substance use disorders through a bio/psycho/social department specific and evidenced based assessment identifying patient and family goals/needs.
- Serves as a clinical leader by providing clinical supervision to team members seeking licensure as well as supervision/mentoring of graduate students during clinical internships.
- Integrates assessments using information related to cultural, clinical, ethnic, age and other factors into the plan of care while providing a range of therapeutic interventions, psycho-educational programming and behavioral interventions (when indicated) to assist the patient/family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan.
- May engage in research and contributes to the specialty field of program/department/unit through the development/participation of research protocols, abstract writing and publications when identified and appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Master's Degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in Mental Health, Social Work, Counseling, Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health related field.
- Experience: Five years of experience post licensure in mental health/substance use disorder treatment, psychoeducational programming including targeted, evidence-based interventions (crisis intervention, trauma, and integrative therapies).
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association within 3 months of hire. Crisis Prevention Institute within 6 months of hire. CPI in-person training for non-violent crisis intervention, receive CPI blue card within 6 months of hire.
- Licensure: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP). Approved Clinical Supervisor Within 3 Months
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a hospital/medical setting
- Experience with Concierge Medical Care and Services
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of professionalism and flexibility
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Strong documentation and clinical assessment skills
