The full salary range for the Director of Occupational Safety and Environmental Program is $103,100 - $196,300 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $162,012.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Under the general direction of the Executive Director of EH&S, the Director, Occupational Safety and Environmental Programs performs and oversees work of considerable complexity in developing, implementing and managing effective programs, including hazardous materials, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, ergonomics, and environmental compliance. Uses experience, forward thinking, analysis and leadership skills to provide effective outcomes to serve the division and institution. In addition, provides supervision, direction and mentorship to subordinate staff. Maintains up to date knowledge of regulatory requirements for regulated waste management: hazardous materials and environmental programs (air, water, remediation), industrial hygiene programs not limited to IAQ, mold, asbestos, hazardous building materials, regulated carcinogens, and general safety programs including building and construction safety, fall protection, theatre safety, shops, hot works and confined space. Actively participates in the evaluation, development, and improvement of EH&S systems to maintain compliance, improve efficiency and measure performance. Ensures internal controls, safety procedures and protocols are maintained in all facets of responsibility. Provides additional support to the division as necessary.
