The Senior Director, Warehouse Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and executing the warehouse and distribution strategy across the company's national footprint. This position oversees all warehousing operations-both in-house and third-party logistics (3PL)-with a focus on safety, service, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement. This includes managing inventory, order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, safety, compliance, and team development. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence through process optimization, technology, and a high-performance team culture, ensuring service levels and efficiency targets are consistently met or exceeded.

Reporting to the EVP of Supply Chain, this individual will provide strategic direction, operational leadership, and people development across multiple warehouse locations to support a high-growth, innovation-driven snack food manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and execute the national warehousing strategy aligned with company growth and customer service objectives.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize warehouse footprint, network design, and 3PL partnerships.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across all warehouses and distribution centers, ensuring consistent execution of SOPs, service metrics, and regulatory compliance.
  • Establish KPIs and performance dashboards for safety, accuracy, on-time delivery, inventory integrity, and labor efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve service levels.
  • Partner with IT and Supply Chain Planning to implement WMS upgrades, automation, and digital tools for enhanced visibility and control.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team of warehouse managers and field leaders.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and employee engagement across all sites.
  • Partner with Transportation, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Finance, and Sales to ensure warehouse operations align with broader supply chain goals.
  • Lead warehouse readiness for product launches, promotional peaks, and seasonal demand shifts.
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA, FDA/FSMA, and internal food safety standards.
  • Champion safety-first culture with proactive programs and training.
  • Prepare and present performance results and improvement strategies to executive leadership.
  • Manage warehouse budgets, capital projects, and cost control initiatives across all Logistics warehouses in the network
  • Oversee and Manage staffing, training, and development of warehouse managers and team members across all shifts.


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse and distribution operations, preferably within the CPG or food/beverage industry.
  • Experience working in regulated food manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of WMS systems, 3PL management, and automation technologies.
  • Proven track record of driving operational improvements and leading multi-site teams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and change management skills.
