POSITION SUMMARY The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for all daily accounts payable operations, as well as other monthly functions, and general support for the Accounting Department. This position will be responsible for processing a high volume of accounts payable transactions across multiple locations in the United States. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for all Accounts Payable functions, including, but not limited to, processing invoices, verifying approval of invoices, scanning invoices into the ERP System, maintaining vendor information and invoice history, preparing invoices for payment, and distribution of A/P checks.
- Keeping track of outstanding invoices and maintaining a schedule of monthly payments made. Maintaining and reviewing statements from vendors for old outstanding invoices and verifying payments.
- Communication with vendors to ensure invoices are received and paid promptly.
- Post journal entries in the ERP System as needed.
- Back-up for check and subsistence money order scanning for bank deposits.
- Processing of all credit card expense transactions to ensure timely payment.
- Back-up for the Receptionist as needed.
- Performs other accounting department duties assigned by the supervisor.
SKILLS
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of the ERP System is required. Preferred: working knowledge of Navision/Business Central by Microsoft.
- Ability to perform and understand basic math calculations, including adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying whole and decimal numbers.
- General office skills and working with periodic deadlines.
- Customer service driven.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- An Associate's degree in Accounting, or related field, with 3 years of Accounts Payable experience.
- General office and computer knowledge.
