Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We're bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.

Purpose of the Role

As an EVM Principal at Worley, you will serve as a subject matter expert in Earned Value Management (EVM), overseeing the integration of cost, schedule, and scope to support the successful delivery of complex energy, chemicals, and resources projects. In this role, you will support our journey toward a more sustainable world by ensuring project performance is effectively measured, risks are identified early, and customers receive transparent, data-driven insights that support their strategic goals. Your leadership in EVM will contribute to Worley's ambition of becoming a global leader in sustainability solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of Earned Value Management processes and practices across major projects, ensuring alignment with both customer expectations and Worley's project delivery framework.

  • Coordinate across planning, cost, and project controls teams to ensure integrated performance measurement and forecasting systems are in place.

  • Evaluate project performance against baselines, identifying variances, trends, and corrective actions to maintain alignment with project goals.

  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and financial teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of earned value metrics.

  • Drive the integration of schedule and cost data to produce reliable forecasts and performance assessments across project lifecycles.

  • Provide strategic guidance and technical mentorship to EVM and project controls staff, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

  • Prepare and present EVM reports, dashboards, and performance summaries to both internal leadership and external clients, providing clear insight into project health.

  • Ensure EVM tools and systems are effectively utilized, recommending improvements to enhance data accuracy, reporting, and decision-making.

  • Align earned value strategies with Worley's sustainability objectives by ensuring transparency in resource utilization, efficiency, and project progress.

  • Support organizational learning by contributing to the development of EVM procedures, training programs, and best practices documentation.

Qualifications / Skill Set
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, project management, construction, finance, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

  • Extensive experience applying Earned Value Management principles on major capital projects in the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.

  • Proficiency with EVM and project performance tools such as Primavera P6, Deltek Cobra, EcoSys, or similar systems.

  • In-depth knowledge of project planning and cost control, with the ability to interpret integrated data and provide actionable insights.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect performance trends, identify risks, and communicate recommendations clearly.

  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional environments with a focus on collaboration, inclusion, and accountability.

  • Effective communicator with the ability to present complex data and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Familiarity with project delivery across all lifecycle phases-from engineering and procurement through commissioning and closeout.

  • Proven ability to align EVM strategies with organizational goals, including sustainability performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Comfortable working independently in a dynamic, fast-paced, and globally connected organization.
