Responsibilities

Saber Systems is hiring for a Junior Program Developer to support one of our government customers located at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Southern MD in PMA-202 (Aircrew Systems). The program is providing systems engineering support of weapons systems on various platforms including technical research and development of technologies, analysis, and documentation as part of the acquisition of Aircraft, Weapon, and Integrated Systems and the evaluation of their technical performance, mission suitability and associated acquisition risks throughout the full acquisition process and lifecycle of a program.

The selected candidate will be responsible for not limited to:

  • Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.
  • Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
  • Applies systems engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.
  • Work with users in an Agile development approach to understand requirements, then elicit feedback and refine solution through demonstrations.
  • Present the solution at formal and informal design reviews, and document the design according to the Government's system lifecycle methodology.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Physical Sciences or related field from an accredited college or university. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTIONS: Two (2) years of DoD Aviation or flight clearance product set experience and an Associate degree may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. These two (2) years of experience are in addition to the required minimum of two (2) years to meet the "Experience" requirements below, requiring a total of four (4) years of experience. OR Four (4) years of DoD Aviation or flight clearance product set experience may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. These four (4) years of experience are in addition to the required minimum of two (2) years to meet the "Experience" requirements below, requiring a total of six (6) years of experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience in DoD Aviation Operator or Maintenance Management or flight clearance product set experience.
  • Must have aviation experience (Aircrew or Flightline)
  • Good communication skills (writing and presenting)
  • Team leadership skills including task planning, assignment, and management
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher or be eligible to obtain one.
  • Must be a US Citizen

Compensation

Junior Level: At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements. The general salary range for this position is $40,000-$100,000; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms.
