Responsibilities

(This role has a hybrid schedule with 3 days in office and 2 days flex-remote)

The UHS Corporate Marketing Department is hiring a Senior Copywriter to develop compelling content and creative messaging to promote products and services for hospitals, related facilities and additional entities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Write copy for marketing programs and initiatives related to the local subsidiary brand, campaigns, advertising and service line education including hospital marketing materials, blogs, e-newsletters, hospital publications (both traditional and digital), billboards, print advertisements, radio and television commercials, direct mail pieces and more.

  • Collaborates with Creative Copy and Design teams and hospital Marketing Directors to ensure tone and style meet company standards and legal guidelines. Has regular contact with Management.
  • Manages projects through the various stages, including revisions based on hospital marketing directors' input.

  • Review hospital communications and related marketing materials for accuracy.
  • Develops and writes corporate projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, Advertising, Journalism or related field with 5 - 8 years' experience in a corporate copywriter role.

  • Working knowledge of copywriting techniques and standards, along with experience in healthcare communications/hospital marketing.
  • Computer skills using Mac are required.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational ability.
  • Superior writing skills, as well as strong copy editing, proofreading and research skills.

  • Solid conceptual abilities and a strategic thinker.
  • Highly self-motivated and maintains an interest in competitor activities, successful campaigns and new advertising trends and techniques.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required; familiarity with Workfront and Drupal preferred.
