ABOUT THE ROLE
This role will edit the "Have A Seat with Chris Hansen" podcast and deliver the final video and audio files to RSV for review.

Red Seat Ventures (RSV) is seeking a temporary, part-time Editor to support the launch of a new podcast. The role will provide editorial support to the production team over the course of four initial episodes, working closely with the producer to finalize edits and prep the content for release. The assignment is expected to run through September.

This role is ideal for a skilled editor with podcast experience who can operate independently, meet tight deadlines, and execute final audio with clarity and polish.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Edit and mix four podcast episodes in collaboration with the producer

• Manage final cuts for content, pacing, and audio quality

• Ensure audio standards are met across episodes for release

• Provide feedback and collaborate on revisions as needed

• Work within a fixed production schedule and deliver assets on time

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Strong experience editing podcast audio for narrative or interview formats

• Proficiency with audio editing tools such as Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, or similar

• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently on tight timelines

• Comfort working independently in a remote environment

• Strong communication and file management skills

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

• Familiarity with editorial workflows in media or journalism

• Prior experience supporting the launch of a new audio series

• Understanding of industry standards for podcast distribution and formatting

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $30.00-40.00 per hour.
