The Team:

Mattel's US Commercial Marketing team localizes the global brand strategy to perform in our largest market. The team is responsible for line selection, pricing, overseeing the local P&L and driving the go-to-market strategy for the U.S. The Associate Marketing Manager for the Barbie business will drive marketing, business operations and customer management activities for the brand and product line to achieve financial growth and target profit.

Your knowledge of the consumer, our business, and utilization of successful marketing levers will drive our legendary brand forward.

The Opportunity:

The Associate Marketing Manager will provide marketing, business operations, and customer management activities for the brand and product line to achieve financial growth, hit profit targets, and deliver against KPIs. The Associate Marketing Manager will support the Marketing Manager who is responsible for managing several Barbie Toy segments in the US market.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Oversee day-to-day marketing activities for select portfolio brands, including collecting local market insights and synthesizing brand/product performance data.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to provide strategic recommendations that enhance brand recognition and drive sales growth.
  • Manage commercialization efforts, including channel segmentation programs, first-to-market initiatives, and retailer selection.
  • Deliver item-level forecasting, performance tracking, and comprehensive performance analyses to support effective planning.
  • Lead the development, execution, and evaluation of short-term promotional plans by brand and across multiple customers.
  • Drive brand development through the activation of key marketing programs in the US market.
  • Execute marketing strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams including Sales, Global Brand Marketing, Omnichannel Retail Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Finance, and Demand Planning.
  • Cultivate deep expertise within the category to inform business decisions and support growth opportunities.
  • Present product strategies and performance updates to both internal and external stakeholders.

Education required:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field; MBA preferred

Experience, knowledge, skills required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in consumer or brand marketing (3 years with an MBA)
  • In-depth knowledge of core marketing strategies and techniques
  • Proven leadership abilities with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, time management, and quantitative/analytical skills
  • Experienced in presenting to key stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Skilled in interpreting data and delivering actionable insights to executives and business leaders
  • Demonstrated ability in maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and strong follow-up
  • Adept at driving discussions with cross-functional partners to achieve consensus and support recommendations
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

The annual base salary range for this position is between $115,000 and $125,000.

**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.Mattel offers competitive total pay programs, comprehensive benefits, and resources to help empower a culture where every employee can reach their full potential.
