Job Details This role has corporate real estate acquisitions accountability. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering real estate strategy, services, and solutions to the entire Jefferson Enterprise. This position is intended to provide leadership for and management of Jefferson's 18M SF corporate real estate portfolio which includes 18 hospitals, two university campuses, and 300+ medical office buildings and sites of service.Essential Functions *Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. (Do not delete, move or over-write this statement) *Work with the SVP Treasure/CIO to develop corporate strategies to align Jefferson's real estate portfolio to the corporate strategy for delivery of health care, academic, and research functions across the entire enterprise. *Lead the acquisition and disposition of Jefferson's for TJU's corporate/clinical ambulatory/ and underutilized clinical/academic real estate portfolio. *Lead the Jefferson real estate team comprised of both in-house and vendor real estate professionals in developing a Strategic Real Estate Portfolio Plan for all Jefferson real estate assets, to include hospitals, medical offices, an academic medical center, university, research, and various support facilities. *Develop and execute real estate, space management, and facilities projects (acquisitions, dispositions, relocations, etc.) based on the Strategic Plan, portfolio reviews and on an ad hoc basis based on business needs. Identify the need for additional internal and external resources (design, project management, facilities management, etc.) and direct their activities. *Interacts with real estate market brokers, developers, landlords, executives (both internal and external), local authorities having jurisdiction, faculty, staff, physicians co-workers, board members, and others consistent with the values of Jefferson. Job Description BS/BA Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Architecture, or related fields of study. Masters preferred. AND Experience: 5+ years of experience in the management of corporate real estate properties and projects. Direct experience in leading large outsourced real estate service providers with an emphasis on partnering relationships. Direct experience in leading through influence in a decentralized organization. Healthcare experience preferred but not required. Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements: Affiliation and active participation in CoreNet and/or Urban Land Institute preferred. Ongoing education in either entity is expected as is receipt of either organization's accreditations (e.g. MCR, SLCR). Additional Information Executive communications acumen, both verbal and written, are essential. Must have significant experience with budgeting, strategic planning, project management and project financial analysis. Must be comfortable in a matrix organization with a variety of stakeholders. Must be self-motivated and take the initiative to achieve business goals.
