What to Expect
In this role you will be responsible for installation on access control equipment and IP based video systems including but not limited to: electrified and non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices, IP and analog cameras, head-end video recording devices, wired and wireless systems and intercom systems, PLC systems, VFD systems, PSP systems, FCU systems, PLC systems.

What You'll Do
  • Installs electrical equipment and systems at Tesla Nevada, employing technical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
  • Performs Low Voltage cabling installations, covering New Commercial Data, Access Control, Fiber Optic, Fire Alarm Cable, and HVAC Cable
  • Installs Access control equipment, data equipment (e.g., data racks, patch panels, cable trays), and works with electronic control systems
  • Supports controls group in troubleshooting, upgrading, and new installations of systems
  • Consults manuals and interprets circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
  • Repairs and adjusts system components, including the removal and replacement of defective parts
  • Works on projects throughout the facility, utilizing lifts and ladders, and employs complex electrical schematics and blueprints for troubleshooting and correction

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience as a Site Support Technician or in a similar role
  • Proficient in installing j-hooks, ladder racks, and cable trays in IDF/MDF/MPOE environments
  • Skilled in using hand tools, electrical meters, and testing equipment for Low Voltage Cabling & Instrumentation and Controls
  • Able to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and P&ID drawings
  • Strong troubleshooting knowledge of motor controls, drives, and electronic components
  • Capable of interpreting complex electrical prints and schematics for effective troubleshooting and correction
  • Versatile team player with strong interpersonal skills, high initiative, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively
