About the role:

An Inspector ensures that machined parts meet quality and dimensional specifications using precision measuring tools and inspection techniques by verifying dimensions, tolerances, and overall product quality, working with blueprints, specifications, and different measuring instruments. They also document inspection results, identify defects, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.

You will report to our Westinghouse location in Manning, SC working a contract position full-time 40 hours per week.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visual inspections of equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify defects, damage, or wear and tear.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, to prevent damage and ensure optimal performance.
  • Document inspection findings, including photographs and detailed descriptions, and submit reports to management.
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement inspection schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a related field, such as quality control or maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Certification in a relevant trade or technical field (e.g. electrical, mechanical, etc.).
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
